Scan it. Score it. Swap it.

Path2Table shows you what's in your food and where it came from, in seconds.

How it works

1. Scan or search. Scan a barcode or search for any food, packaged or fresh.

2. See two scores. A health score based on ingredients, nutrition and how heavily the food is processed. An environmental score that includes how far the product and its ingredients traveled to reach you and how resource intensive it is to make.

3. Find a better option. Get healthier, more local alternatives you can actually buy.

What the scores are based on

The health score draws on public nutrition and ingredient data, including Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central, and on the NOVA system researchers use to classify how processed a food is. The environmental score combines where a product is made with average footprint data for each food category. When we're estimating rather than working from verified sourcing data, the app will tell you.

Our independence promise

Scores are never for sale. No brand can pay to change a score.

Recommendations are never for sale. Sponsored content, if we ever show it, will be clearly labeled and kept separate.
